My primary modality is person-centred therapy, however; I have knowledge of other types of therapy that can be drawn on to suit each client’s individual needs.
Person-Centered Counselling
My primary approach is person-centred counselling, which means I work with you in a client-led, non-directive manner. This allows us to delve deeply into your feelings, helping you find the clarity and closure you need. My role is not to teach or direct you, but to create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore and manage your emotions. Integrated Counselling SkillsWhile my foundation is in person-centered counselling, I recognise that no single method is universally effective. Therefore, I also incorporate integrated counselling
skills, blending various therapeutic techniques and approaches to provide a holistic and tailored treatment for you. This flexibility and adaptability are crucial in meeting your unique needs.

go, so that you are in control and can explore issues at your own pace and in your own way. tackling your past and present
Therefore, I can offer online and telephone counselling sessions from the comfort of your own home to allow you to feel heard, understood and to help you gain the control back.
Key Aspects of My Integrated Approach:
- Active Listening and Empathy: Central to person-centered counselling, I offer a compassionate and understanding presence.
- Tailored Interventions: Depending on your needs, I may draw from:
- Cognitive-Behavioural Techniques: To help you identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviours.
- Mindfulness Practices: To increase self-awareness and manage stress.
- Solution-Focused Techniques: To leverage your strengths and resources in finding solutions.
- Cultural Competence: Being sensitive and responsive to your cultural and social context.
- Ethical Practice: Ensuring informed consent, maintaining confidentiality, and establishing professional boundaries.
